OH.NO.SUMO STUDIO
CUPCAKE PAVILION FUNDRAISER A WINNER
OH.NO.SUMO Architectural team members, Patrick Loo, Sarosh Mulla, Katherine O’Shaughnessy & James Pearce designed and built an elegant pavilion as part of this years Architectural Weeks Activities.
The pavilion provided not only an exciting architectural challenge for the team
but also provided an excellent focal point and platform to sell cupcakes from for a fundraiser for the Starship Foundation.
The pavilion generated fantastic response on the day and the cupcakes sold out quickly. Together the team raised over $3000.00 for the Starship Foundation and generated a great event that everyone who attended enjoyed. The donation
to Starship we are told will be put towards purchasing Billie Blankets which are used to help babies with jaundice. The benefits are a more comforting and beneficial environment than incubators are able to provide, aiding in a baby’s
faster recovery.
The pavilion was also recently awarded joint winner in the open section of the Cavalier Bremworth Architectural Competition.
See www.ohnosumo.co for more information.
Approximately 2000 Hi-Q Ratchet Rivets (Part # 04-PRR71319) were used to connect the intersecting laser cut cardboard panels.
